Peter M. Byrne, PhD

Peter M. Byrne, PhD is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Behavioral Technology, Inc.  His active participation includes product development team leader, integrating clinical needs with advancing technology; maintaining programmatic sexual arousal research program; and instructing Penile Plethysmography Technician & Clinician Training Workshops.

Dr. Byrne holds his Doctorate of Philosophy, (December 2000) from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah and received his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in March 1992 also at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.

His Bachelor of Science in Psychology (December 1988) was earned at Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

In addition to his leadership of Behavioral Technology, Inc. he is the President and Clinical Director of  Monarch Assessment & Treatment Center, LLC Salt Lake City, Utah.  The clinic conducts sex offender-specific individual and group psychotherapy; teaches psychoeducational classes and oversees and manages general operations of the Clinic.

Dr. Byrne is an Adjunct Associate Professor, Educational Psychology (07/03 to present) at the University of Utah, Department of Educational Psychology, Salt Lake City Utah.  He also supervises Master's and Doctoral theses, specializing in sex offender specific research topics.
